Application of GIS technique for crop diversification in Nandurbar District (MS)

Abstract—The study of crop diversification is shows a significant importance as it is functionally related to the risk of crop failure and the distribution of work during a fiscal year. This study experiments with the levels of crop diversification as well as factors responsible for cropping pattern in the study area. For this study secondary data has been collected from a socio-economic abstract of Nandurbar district in 2001. Bhatia‟s method has been used in a modified form. The resulting crop diversification is the largest area e.g. 66.66 percent coverage in low crop diversification class of the district.
