The Polo Center of Sustainability provides the social science research community with access to first-rate data surveying and social scientific services. It offers a full range of survey design, data management, analytical, and quantitative and qualitative skills. Our enthusiasm has stemmed from the desire to collect data of the highest quality, to carry out research, and investigative work in the public good and to develop upon knowledge base to support state-of-the-art decision making. Our aim is to be internationally recognized as a Center for excellence in the provision of social science research, academia and relating organizations. We also have strict controls of personal information as outlined in our Privacy regulations.

The Center's research is based within two interdisciplinary methodological approaches: quantitative and qualitative. The combinative use of the two has been a long goal of the Center with pioneering research in sustainability controls and systematization-biases of combining the two approaches. The Center has expert personnel that specialize in sustainable development, geographical statistics, and environmental disciplinary research. Common sustainability indices that utilize one of these two approaches show the diverse nature and wide range of our research expertise. A tabular example under Sustainability Indices elucidates this research and its significance.
